Dr. Mary Thomas is a board certified family practice physician. She received her medical degree (M.D) in May, 1994 from LSU medical school in New Orleans, LA. After one year of internship at Earl K Long hospital in Baton Rouge, she completed her family medicine residency training at Baton Rouge General Hospital in June 1997. After her residency, she worked as a family physician for Baton Rouge General primary care group from 1997-2001, and for Our Lady of the Lake primary care group from 2001-2005 respectively. Dr. Mary Thomas was born in Kerala state, India. She moved to the United States in 1975 with her husband Dr. Joseph Thomas (Pediatrician).
Dr. Thomas is committed to diagnosing problems early and guiding treatment not only to halt progression of the disease, but also to ease the stress of illness and thus improve the quality of life for her patients.
